About Art
Art started the Art Price Printing studio in 2024 for collaborative teaching, printing, workshopping, painting, and creating community among local artists (and people looking to become one).
Art wrote the following statement about the MN ICE invasion, based on his feelings after Renée Good’s murder on January 7th:
“My rage and grief is burned on over 7,500 pieces of cloth and paper. They have murdered and kidnapped my neighbors, stolen the hope from far too many in my home, and no goddamn fascist gets to arrive without Art Price fighting with every skill he has.
I can't hold up my hand and stop them myself. But I can give a place for people to come together. I can give the frustrated who don't know what to do, something to do; to get mobile, to bring the canvas. To put hands to work in the shop; connect printers for useful things like eye-wash devices, whistles, instructional zines. And I can emblazon a mark permanently in a 350° oven that shouts our collective grief and rage and determination.
I am honored. I see how I've helped return hope to people, and it's equal in measure to the hope that my community has returned to me.”
